Do we have to customize SAP for this?

Usually very little. We use the interfaces that already exist and coordinate with your SAP team or partner. If a change is needed, we tell you up front.

What happens if an interface fails?

We build interfaces so no data gets lost: it is buffered and delivered as soon as the other system is reachable again. At the same time, an alert goes to us or to your IT team.

Where does our data go when AI is involved?

We decide that with you before anything gets built. Options include models hosted in the EU or models in your own infrastructure. The AI only gets the data it needs for its task.

We use AI where it can work with real data: an assistant that searches the catalog and prepares orders, or a check that assigns free-text requests to the right product category. The AI accesses data through defined interfaces. What it sees and does can be traced.

Tech stack: NestJS and Node.js for interfaces, PostgreSQL as the database, language models through defined interfaces.

LANXESS: catalog system on SAP S/4HANA

The LANXESS catalog system is integrated with SAP. Contracts and part numbers come from SAP, and orders go back there. For the 2026 relaunch we moved the integration to SAP S/4HANA and added AI features.
